Value, Virtue and Theme

Fruit of Faith – the half-termly value:

Friendliness

When others are happy, be happy with them, and when they are sad, be sad. Be friendly with everyone. Don't be proud and feel that you are smarter than others. Make friends with ordinary people. Don't mistreat someone who has mistreated you. But try to earn the respect of others.

Romans 12: 15-17

This month’s tutor group virtue:

Happiness

Trust the Lord and live right! The land will be yours, and you will be safe. Do what the Lord wants and he will give you your heart's desire. Let the Lord lead you and trust him to help. Then it will be as clear as the noonday sun that you were right..

Psalm 37: 3-6 NRSV

This week's assembly theme:

Harvest

For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land with flowing streams, with springs and underground waters welling up in valleys and hils, a land of wheat and barley, of vines and fig trees and pomegranates, a land of olive trees and honey, a land where you may eat bread without scarcity, where you will lack for nothing, a land whose stones are iron and from those hills you may mine copper. You shall eat your fill and bless the Lord your God for the good land that he has given you.

Deuteronomy 8: 7-10
